The Australian manufacturer of mine communication systems has been active in China for several years, during which time they installed 11 PED Communication systems into coal mines in Shanxi, Henan and Inner Mongolia Provinces.

However, with the recent emphasis on safety and improving communication underground, another five mines ordered systems in the last two months. These include PED systems to Ma Liliang and Mei Yukou coal mines. MST also sold their first TRACKER Tagging System into China to Pei Gou coal mine.

Ma Jiliang and Mei Yukou mines are operated by the Datong Coal Group in Shanxi Province. The Datong the mining group remain our largest user in China, operating seven of our 12 PED installations.

MST said the PED Systems improve day to day communications at the Chinese mines, as well as forming part of the mines’ emergency preparedness/evacuation systems.
